This is the tech story of the century

Why BAIO

AI is making biology programmable. Protein structures that took years to solve are now predicted in seconds. Cells can be simulated computationally. Drugs are being designed by algorithms, and some are already in clinical trials. Science and laboratory work is being automated.

It's happening now. And the pace is accelerating.

BAIO is a twice-weekly briefing that keeps you up to date on all of this. Every Wednesday and Sunday, you get the research, deals, and tools that actually matter. What happened. Why it matters. In five minutes time.

Who writes this

I'm Peter Ottsjö, a journalist based in Sweden. For the past ten years I've been covering tech at Ny Teknik, where I still report on AI, biotech, and exponential technologies.

I also run LEVITY, a newsletter and podcast about longevity science. BAIO is its sibling - same editorial values, different format. LEVITY goes deep with essays and long-form analysis. BAIO is briefings: short, curated, twice a week. Where LEVITY asks can we end aging?, BAIO asks what happens when AI meets biology.

I'm a Fellow of the Longevity Biotech Fellowship and author of Evigt Ung, a Swedish book on the science of aging and the quest for longer life.
