Claude Fable 5, Anthropic’s new Mythos-class model for general use, is here. Sort of.

Anthropic says the underlying Mythos model is now seriously useful for research biology, including drug design, molecular-biology hypotheses and autonomous genomics work. But the public version, Fable, routes most biology and chemistry requests away from that strongest model for safety reasons.

I have opinions on this and felt it best belonged in it’s own post. To give you a sense of where I stand I’ll give you the headline: Scientists are the new refugees in Dario Amodei's world.
